OUR PROGRAM

PARK'S MARTIAL ARTS is 100% focused on self-defense training.  Our main objective is to make sure that each student that trains with us can effectively defend themselves in a real altercation. And in real life there are no points given, no scoreboards, no judges to determine a winner, no time limits and no rules.

Historically, traditional martial arts schools have had a singular combative focus.  For example, Korean Taekwondo focuses on dynamic kicking, footwork and distance management.  Brazilian Jiu Jitsu focuses on ground tactics, leverage and submissions.  Muay Thai focuses on close quarter fighting within the clinch using elbows and knees.  And Western Boxing focuses on closed fist punching techniques, body rotation and evasive movement.  All of these styles have proven to be superior within the realm of their own rules and fighting conditions.  But when faced with an opposing combat style...you start to see the limitations that each style faces in a real fight.  What if a Boxer gets leg kicked, a Muay Thai or Taekwondo specialist gets taken to the ground or a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner is unable to close the distance to take someone to the ground?  All these conditions are very real possibilities and all can have devastating results if those limitations aren't addressed.

Master Park has developed a comprehensive system that blends the most effective techniques within each of these styles and has integrated them into a structured curriculum that can be learned by anyone.  A student can start with absolutely no prior self defense experience and can learn our system effectively and systematically.  The result will be a proficient practical application of techniques that will keep the student safe when faced with a real threat.

Our Program is broken out into 4 separate class structures.  Our KIDS, YOUTH, TEENS & ADULTS and WOMEN'S SELF DEFENSE Classes.  Each group is taught very specific techniques that are introduced at the appropriate time and phase of their developmental process.  Doing so will yield the most effective results both in the short and long term process of their training.

KIDS PROGRAM
Wednesday Nights 5:00 - 5:50pm

Our KIDS PROGRAM is designed for students between the age of 4 - 7 years old.  Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is our main focus in this class because it teaches kids how to defend themselves without inflicting harm to others.  Brazilian Jiu Jitsu focuses on leverage, control and neutralization...which is highly effective for this age group.  Students will also learn Bully Prevention tactics and Rules of Engagement in this class.

YOUTH PROGRAM
Wednesday Nights 6:00 - 6:50pm 

Our YOUTH PROGRAM is designed for students between the age of 8 - 12.  Here we will blend Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with Muay Thai and Takedowns.  Students will learn how to effectively protect themselves on their feet and on the ground while exercising self control.  Bully Prevention tactics and Rules of Engagement are integrated heavily in this class.

TEENS & ADULTS PROGRAM
Wednesday Nights 7:00 - 7:50pm 

Our TEENS & ADULTS PROGRAM is designed for students ages 13 and up.  Here the full weight of our program is introduced.  A cohesive blend of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Taekwondo, Muay Thai and Western Boxing techniques are taught to prepare our students for a real altercation.

WOMEN'S SELF DEFENSE
Wednesday Nights 8:00 - 8:50pm 

Our WOMEN'S SELF DEFENSE class is designed for women ages 13 and up.  Master Park is the father of 6 daughters and created this class with their safety and the safety of other women in mind.  Keeping our mothers, daughters, sisters, children and friends safe is of the highest importance.  We even the playing field by neutralizing the attack rather than using brute force.  We will teach you how to neutralize an attacker's power, size and speed with technique, leverage and timing.  No experience is necessary.  This program has been built to help all women regardless of skill level or physical ability.
